Trade Mission | Seafood Expo Asia 2026

Invest Nova Scotia, in partnership with the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and the provinces of New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, and proponent Taste of Nova Scotia, is seeking Nova Scotia seafood companies to join the Atlantic Canada trade mission to Seafood Expo Asia (SEA) in Singapore from September 2-4, 2026.

SEA is the seafood marketplace for Asia, bringing together industry suppliers from around the world with buyers from across Asia. A gateway to Asia, Singapore is the world’s busiest shipping hub, connected to 600 ports in more than 120 countries. SEA offers the Hosted Buyer program, which connects top-tier, high-volume buyers with exhibiting companies and provides benefits to qualified decision-makers involved in high-volume purchases.

Over the last five years, the demand for Atlantic Canadian seafood in Asia has grown tremendously with export sales totalling $1.45B in 2023. As a major consumer, importer, and producer of seafood, and with a population of more than 4 billion people, Asia shows tremendous potential for export growth and market diversification.

• An open-concept Atlantic Canada pavilion with shared booth spaces within the Nova Scotia Seafood booth
• The option to participate as a co-exhibitor or show walker if you are not able/eligible to participate as a co-exhibitor
• Turn-key booths including furnishings, counters, graphics, and signage for co-exhibitors
• Participation in the SEA Hosted Buyer Program for exhibitors with high-value B2B meetings
• In-market networking activities

The participation fees for the trade mission are:

• Co-exhibitor: $2850.00 ($2,500.00 + $350.00 HST)
• Show Walker: $1140.00 ($1000.00 + $140.00 HST)

Spaces are limited. Travel, accommodations, and meals are the responsibility of participants. Financial support may be available through the Export Development Program—contact your respective Regional Business Development Advisor for details.

In conjunction with participation in Seafood Expo Asia 2026 in Singapore, we are exploring opportunities for post-show market development activities in Southeast Asia.

The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service has expressed interest in supporting delegations of Canadian seafood companies in both Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam through the delivery of one-day Export Cafés designed to connect participating companies with qualified buyers, importers, distributors, and key industry stakeholders.

At present, we understand that there would be no additional participation costs associated with these value-added activities beyond companies’ own travel-related expenses. To help determine how we move forward with these opportunities, we are seeking feedback on company interest.
