About The Gand Band
Four-time winners of Coachella Valley's Best Local Band, The Gand Band has become one of Southern California's most celebrated live acts, earning a reputation for exceptional musicianship, infectious energy, and an incredible repertoire of classic hits.
Led by husband-and-wife musical duo Gary and Joan Gand, the group brings the rich musical traditions of Chicago blues, Memphis soul, Motown, classic rock, and vintage R&B to the California desert.
Gary Gand's electrifying guitar work draws inspiration from blues and rock legends, while Joan Gand's soulful Hammond organ and keyboard playing provide the signature grooves that make the band's sound instantly recognizable.
Known for their imaginative themed concerts and outstanding guest vocalists, The Gand Band has entertained audiences throughout the Coachella Valley with musical celebrations ranging from Woodstock and the British Invasion to Motown and beyond.
The band has also performed alongside legendary entertainer Trini Lopez and appears in the documentary My Name Is Lopez. Their live album, The Gand Band Live at the Plaza Theatre, helped support the restoration of Palm Springs' historic Plaza Theatre.

Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, comfortable table seating, and a non-smoking environment, Spirit Animal was built for immersive dinner-show experiences where music hits deep and the vibe runs strong.
