Little Nature Artists
About this Event
Join us for Little Nature Artists at Little Nestlings Early Learning Center.
This free community event invites young children to explore nature through art. Children will work with leaves, paper, crayons, and other simple materials to create nature prints or leaf rubbings inspired by the shapes, textures, and patterns they notice.
This event is designed for children who love to create, collect, observe, and experiment. It offers a calm, beautiful way for families to experience open-ended art in a preschool environment where the process matters more than the final product.
Featured child activity: Create a nature print or leaf rubbing.
Children will choose leaves and natural textures, place them under or on paper, and use crayons or washable materials to reveal patterns. They can layer colors, compare textures, and decide how their artwork grows.
Children may practice: Observation, Pattern recognition, Fine motor control, Artistic expression, Nature connection, Language around texture, line, color, and shape
