Little Legacies Workshop – MLK Day Featured Event (Pre-K–5)

Join us for a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration designed for young learners and their families.Little Legacies is an interactive, story-centered workshop featuring the author of the children’s book Letters of Legacy.

Through a live reading and guided activities, children will explore big ideas like kindness, leadership, courage, and how even kids can make a positive impact in their communities.

Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his legacy, this workshop helps children understand that their voices, actions, and dreams matter.

During this workshop, children will:

• Experience a live reading of Letters of Legacy by the author

• Engage in age-appropriate conversations about MLK, leadership, and helping others

• Participate in hands-on creative activities connected to the book

• Create a personal legacy keepsake to take home

This workshop is designed for children ages Pre-K through 5th grade.

Caregivers are welcomed to participate alongside younger children but not required.

All materials will be provided.
