Jose DeLeon Hernandez was born and raised in Temple, TX and is a 5 time Grammy Award winning performer. Recipient of the 2023 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the National Endowment of the Arts, which is the United States government ‘s highest honor in folk and traditional arts.
