How did families light their homes before electricity? Bring your favorite toddler or preschooler to the museum on Monday, June 15, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. to find out!
In this hands-on session of our Little Historians series pre-K students will get an up-close look at vintage candle molds and lanterns from our education collection. Designed for curious little minds, this program blends sensory play with Ozark history and culture.
What’s in store for your little historian: 📚 Storytime and Music: An engaging historical storybook reading followed by a song-and-dance activity. 🐝 Hands-on Craft: Every student will get to hand-roll their very own beeswax candle to take home!
📍 Note: We are meeting at the historic Steele General Store on the museum grounds. Please arrive a few minutes early so everyone can get settled before the fun begins!
We can't wait to see you there!
