Celebrate the York launch of Andrew Neilson's debut poetry collection, Little Griefs. Also reading at the Poetry Ph*rm*cy will be Kathryn Gray, Katy Mahon and Matthew Paul.

Andrew Neilson was born in Edinburgh and lives in London. He works in Pr*son reform and co-edits the digital poetry journal, Bad Lilies, with Kathryn Gray. A pamphlet, Summers Are Other, was published by Rack Press in 2025. His debut collection, Little Griefs, is out now from Blue Diode Press.
Kathryn Gray's first collection,The Never-Never (Seren, 2004), was shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot Prize and the Forward Prize for Best First Collection. Her pamphlet, Flowers, was published by Rack Press in 2016. Her second full collection, Hollywood or Home, was selected as a Sunday Times Poetry Book of the Year in 2023.
Katy Mahon is an Irish musician and poet living in York. Her poems have appeared in Irish and English publications, including The High Window, Poetry Birmingham Literary Journal and The Galway Review. She was New Irish Writing's featured poet for The Irish Independent in 2022, and her debut chapbook Some Indefinable Cord was published that year. Her pamphlet, Cry, was published in 2025.
Matthew Paul hails from South London and lives in South Yorkshire. His second poetry collection, The Last Corinthians, was published by Crooked Spire Press in 2025, following The Evening Entertainment (Eyewear Publishing, 2017). He is also the author of two haiku collections published by Snapshot Press, and reviews regularly for The Friday Poem and elsewhere.
