The Little Grassy Get Down at SIU Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center in Makanda, IL is a family-friendly music festival featuring mostly original acoustic Americana music from around the Midwest!Food, activities, local vendors, & great trails for hiking and biking - you'll be surrounded by the beauty of the Shawnee forest and Touch of Nature!!!!

Options range from 3-day weekend passes with lodging/camping, to festival day passes - and kids under 15 are free with a paying adult.

Lodging is only available with purchase of a weekend pass.
Touch of Nature has a variety of lodging, including Tent/Car Camping, Camp Cabins, Dorm-style & Hotel-style lodging, and NEW - Drydock RV (limited spaces) available.
There are a number of Hotels, B&B's, Inns, Lodges, Campgrounds, and Rentals nearby if you prefer a different space.
Please note dogs are not allowed in SIU buildings, per campus policy. Service dogs are always welcome.
