Literary Salon: Afrofuturism in Community

Join us for our inaugural Literary Salon in a new ongoing series, launching in celebration of Black History Month.

What to Expect:

• An exploration of Afrofuturism—a cultural framework blending Black history, culture, science, technology, and imagination to envision liberated futures.

• A collective vision board session focused on future-building and creative expression
• A literary salon–style discussion, centered on open dialogue, shared learning, and community exchange
• Light bites and drinks provided (mature and all-ages-friendly); BYOB welcome
• A book swap—bring a book to exchange if you’d like
• A curated selection of books available for purchase on-site
• Dressing up encouraged but not required—come future-forward, expressive, or simply comfortable.

This salon marks the first of many to come. We look forward to imagining and building together.
