Literary Escape Festival

After an incredible day in Dundee that welcomed over 350 readers, writers, and book lovers, the Literary Escape Festival will be returning in 2027 for another celebration of stories, creativity, and community.

This year’s Dundee event was packed with brilliant indie authors, signed books, and stalls bursting with treasures from talented small businesses and crafty creators. From beautiful bookmarks to unique literary gifts, visitors discovered plenty of hidden gems while enjoying a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The festival brings together readers, writers, and makers to share their love of books and the magic of imagination, whether you race through novels or prefer to linger over a few pages with a cuppa.

With such a fantastic response in 2026, we can’t wait to return to Dundee and make the next Literary Escape Festival even more special.
