The event is free and all are welcome!Alaska’s Arctic Coastal Plain is a critical habitat for migratory birds and caribou, but climate change and industrial expansion are reshaping its landscapes and soundscapes. This talk explores how remote acoustic monitoring and camera traps help detect birds, establish an acoustic baseline, and assess the impacts of noise on wildlife. Through striking images and immersive sound recordings, we’ll journey into the dynamic world of northern Alaska.
