Whether you're an avid audiobook listener or a reader interested in storytelling, you'll want to sit in on this rare conversation between an author and the narrator of her audiobook. Marybeth Whalen is a southern author known for creating moving stories with memorable characters. Jane Oppenheimer is one of the foremost audiobook narrators working today, with as many as 140 books to her credit. (She is the voice of Sybil in Virginia Evans's beloved The Correspondent!)
This conversation will focus on Marybeth Whalen's new novel, Handle with Care, which Jane Oppenheimer narrates. Join us for a fascinating talk about stories, audiobooks, and the many ways we read.

About Marybeth Whalen:
Marybeth Mayhew Whalen is the author of Every Moment Since and nine previous novels. She earned a BA in English with a concentration in Writing and Editing from NC State University and is the co-founder of The Book Tide, an online community of readers where “a rising tide raises all books.” A native of Charlotte, she now lives in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, with her husband Curt and their six children, who are in various stages of adulthood.
About Jane Oppenheimer:
From literary fiction to romance and biographies, Jane Oppenheimer’s narration style and honest characterizations have earned her Earphone Awards and nominations from the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences. A graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University with a BFA in Theater, she has performed in theater, television, and film across New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and her voice can be heard in museum installations, commercials, corporate videos, and theme park rides. She is the voice of Sybil in The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. When she’s not in the booth, she works in real estate.
