About this Event
///// Listen Up Elora #5 Artists /////
Erin Browne is a musician and creative from Toronto, Ontario. As a Caribbean biracial woman growing up in Scarborough, she was exposed to many genres of music, and developed a particular emotional resonance with folk-inspired alternative music and classic rock. But didn’t see herself reflected in these genres as a queer Black woman. The lack of diversity deterred her from writing and performing in these worlds in her early years, but after spending her teens singing in punk rock garage bands, she found the confidence to begin releasing solo works. Exploring themes of love, loss, addiction, recovery, safety, danger, and redemption, her work strives to speak to and lift up the women who are flawed, damaged, but still lead with the heart. She’s passionate about diversity and representation in the Canadian music industry, and fostering collaborative work environments in which minorities and women can flourish as themselves.

Mela Bee is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose music blends indie folk, alt-country, and soul into a sound that feels both cinematic and human. With warm, emotive vocals and vivid storytelling, she writes songs that reach straight to the heart — vulnerable, honest, and alive.
In 2025, her single Dance & Cry earned a nomination at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards for Singer/Songwriter of the Year, marking international recognition of her heartfelt approach to songwriting.
Rooted in the belief that music is healing, Mela’s work explores the spaces between love and loss, stillness and storm, courage and surrender. Each song is a snapshot of transformation, shaped by her connection to nature, consciousness, and the unseen rhythms of life.
Through her music and live performances, she creates a world where vulnerability becomes strength and emotion becomes art — inviting listeners to feel deeply, reflect openly, and find light even in the darker corners of this human experience.
