Listen & Paint Art Club 001 : Kendrick Lamar

We’re opening our loft doors for an intimate listen-and-paint session in honour of the 10th anniversary of Kendrick Lamar’s groundbreaking third studio album, To Pimp a Butterfly.

A seminal record in hip-hop, To Pimp a Butterfly is a sonic and lyrical masterpiece - blending jazz, funk, and spoken word with raw reflections on identity, Black liberation, and self-discovery.

We invite you to bring your art tools **(or use the materials we’ll provide) and translate the album’s themes into your own creative language through the nibs of our bristles, pencils, ink and boundless imagination.

TPAB layers storytelling and musicianship inviting deep interpretation, making it sandbox ready for visual exploration.

With generous support from New Art Exchange, this event is free and sober-friendly. All skill levels are welcome. Booking is recommended to secure a spot because last time, you all showed up and out, reminding us that art continues to thrives in community.
