Join us for a toast in celebration of Lisa Vanderslice-Walters - for helping us serve our community for the last 27 years!!
Lisa has been part of The Perk family since 1998—Her very first job back when she was in high school at Pennridge. She started as a bus kid and over the years, she has mastered almost every front-of-house role and has become one of our most adored servers, bringing her warmth, professionalism, quick wit, and humor to countless guests and coworkers.
For many years, Lisa put her dream of becoming a full-time teacher on hold so she could focus on raising her three kids and spending time with her husband, all while still working part-time at The Perk--Plus juggling a million other things! She loves this town like no other and always was proud in being part of a place so deeply rooted in the Perkasie community. In every shift, she embodied true hospitality—making guests feel like old friends & old friends feel at home, anticipating needs before they have to ask, and keeping us laughing no matter how busy things get. Whether it’s a perfectly timed joke, a playful comeback, or making up rhymes about work and rapping to hip hop tunes, Lisa has a way of making even the most hectic days feel a little lighter.
Last year, Lisa began a new chapter—finally stepping into her dream career as an elementary school teacher in the Pennridge School District. Now, she is officially hanging up her Perk shirt and apron for good and spending nights and weekends with her family.
We’re excited to give Lisa the send-off she deserves, and we would love for you to join us!
