Blending sharp hooks with restless guitars and late-night romanticism, Lipstick’s new EP captures the push-and-pull of youth, excess, and emotional fallout. Featuring the singles “Giving It Up,” “You and Me,” and “Hardly Know Her,” the record marks a bolder, more assured chapter for the band. Louder, darker, and more direct. Come join Lipstick at San Fran, this date is a hometown statement: a chance to hear the EP live, in full force, exactly as it’s meant to be experienced.Joining them is Felix Bird, an Aotearoa alt-rock artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, whose sound navigates between clever honesty and lush, sonic craftsmanship. Felix’s writing highlights the best parts of many genres, including folk, indie, and alternative adjacent, amalgamating them all into one auricular journey, which he dubs Haircut. Joined by his newly formed Band.
Homing – like a pigeon or a missile. Inspired by the likes of Alexander Graham Bell, they’re Wellington’s freshest group, combining singer-songwriter sensibilities with slack, drowsy indie. Wear two pairs of socks because at least one is definitely getting blown off.
