Tickets are $13 in advance online or from any Lions Club member. Advance ticket holders are guaranteed a dinner anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Each dinner includes: One-half grilled chicken, baked potato, applesauce, and a roll. Soda and bottled water can be purchased separately.
As an added bonus, each ticket comes with a coupon for $1 off a buffet purchase from Mac's Pizza Shack!
Tickets are available on our website or from any Lions Club member. The price rises to $18 on the day of the event, so buy yours today!
This event will be held rain or shine. Eat your chicken dinner in the park, or drive-thru and carryout options will be available. Several community-based organizations on hand with information, displays, and maybe even a few giveaways. (List of participating organizations can be found at the bottom of the page.)
All proceeds support the Janesville Lions Club’s community programs and projects including vision-related services and assistance, scholarships for college-bound high school students, improvements to the Lions Beach facility and other local parks, and more.
Nonprofit orgs who will have a table at this event include:
-- American Association of University Women (AAUW): This national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research will have a fun quiz on amazing women in history. Kids get cool tattoos—and there are prizes for correct answers!
-- Boys and Girls Club of Janesville: Learn more about how BCGJ provides safe and affordable after-school and summer programs to ages 6-18, proven in academic achievement, healthy lifestyles, and good character development.
-- ECHO: Collecting non-perishable items and promoting ticket sales for their Empty Bowls event (Oct. 18 at the Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center).
-- Faith Works: Sign up as clients for services including a clothing pantry and Bare Necessities Pantry, or learn how to volunteer for this faith-based non-profit organization that partners with local churches to meet physical and spiritual needs in Rock County.
-- Friends of Hedberg Public Library: Find out how to become a “Friend” of the library and what the Friends do, as well as free kids’ books.
-- Golden K Kiwanis: Promoting their mission of helping kids in the community.
-- Triple H Ranch & Therapeutic Horsemanship: Get information on how students & families can create a more active, healthy and fulfilling life in an inclusive & welcoming environment through therapeutic riding & equine assisted activities, plus meet Pipsqueak, a mini horse! (Pipsqueak’s appearance is weather-permitting.)
-- Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin: Learn more about HSSW and meet (and perhaps, adopt?) some adorable pups looking for a forever home.
