Lion Day

Join us at the zoo on Monday, August 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as we honor the largest and most imposing carnivore in Africa --- the African lion --- on World Lion Day. At our special exhibit table, you’ll be able to learn about why the numbers of these majestic mammals are decreasing in the wild and how you can help support important conservation efforts through a donation. You can also check out our lion biofacts and artifacts, learn about Lexington and Bella --- our own two resident African lions --- and participate in a game and activities at the exhibit.
