Discover the art of linocut printmaking in this welcoming beginner-friendly course for adults at out Makerspace hub.
Starting on Monday 15th, 3–5pm, you'll learn the fundamentals of this versatile and rewarding printmaking technique, from developing designs and transferring images to carving, inking, and hand-printing your own original prints.
Through guided demonstrations and practical exercises, you'll be introduced to carving tools, materials, printing processes, and safe studio practice. Explore positive and negative space, texture, mark-making, and composition while developing confidence in your creative ideas. Along the way, you'll gain insight into both traditional and contemporary approaches to linocut printmaking.
All tools, materials, and equipment are provided. Participants will leave with a collection of handmade prints and the skills to continue exploring printmaking independently.
Accessibility & Inclusion: This course welcomes people of all backgrounds, abilities, and levels of experience. An inclusive, supportive learning environment is fostered where everyone is encouraged to participate, experiment, and develop their creative voice.
