Whether you’re a total beginner or have some experience with printing, this relaxed and friendly workshop will guide you through the process step by step.

In this 3 hour session, you will:

  • Design & Carve: Learn how to create your own lino printing block by carving a design of your choice or use a pre-drawn template
  • Choose Your Colours: Experiment with different printing inks to bring your design to life.
  • Print on a Tote Bag: With Nia’s guidance, transfer your design onto fabric, creating a custom tote bag that you can use daily.
  • Explore Patterns: Learn how to apply your print repeatedly to create stunning pattern effects.

This workshop is all about creativity over perfection, so come along and have fun experimenting with this beautiful printmaking technique. Plus, it’s a great way to meet like-minded creatives and be part of a welcoming community.

Refreshments will be available and you’ll have access to all materials and equipment including a variety of ink colours, tools, and inspiration, and Nia will be on hand to provide expert guidance.

About Lino Printing on Textiles

Lino printing is a traditional printmaking method where designs are carved into a block of linoleum, inked up, and then pressed onto fabric. This method allows for bold, striking prints and endless design possibilities. By applying ink to your carved block, you can create one-of-a-kind prints on fabric—making your tote bag not just a stylish accessory, but a meaningful piece of art you designed yourself!
