Lino Block Cutting

Lino printing, also called linocut or linoleum block printing, is a relief printmaking method where an image is carved into a linoleum block, inked, and then pressed onto paper or fabric. It’s a favorite of mine for creating cards—I carve a beautiful block and use it to make personalized designs for special occasions. This Class can take anywhere up to 1 1/2 hours up to 3 hours depending on how intricate you decide to get. Doors will open at 5:30 and we will be printing until 9. So feel free to join us when you can.

Using specialized tools, the non-printing areas are cut away, leaving the raised surfaces to hold the ink. This versatile and rewarding art form blends creativity with technique, offering a unique way to produce stunning prints. With the right tools and a bit of practice, anyone can dive into the world of Lino printing. Choose from a basic pattern or create one in the moment. At the end of this class you will print off a card for yourself or to give to someone special.

All materials will be supplied so all you need to bring is your creative mind. We’ll have plenty of nibblies and snacks, along with a selection of curated cocktails and local beers to enjoy. Snack boards can be purchased with your tickets, and cocktails will be available all night. Doors Open at 5:30
