Cynthia Gallaher, born and raised in Chicago, is author of four poetry collections, including Epicurean Ecstasy: More Poems About Food, Drink, Herbs and Spices, and three chapbooks, including Drenched. Her award-winning nonfiction/memoir/creativity guide is Frugal Poets’ Guide to Life: How to Live a Poetic Life, Even If You Aren’t a Poet. Gallaher was a judge for the 2022 Prairie State Poetry Contest, and one of her poems will be sent on NASA's flight to the south pole of the moon later this decade.
Carlos Cumpian, originally from San Antonio, Tx. has been a Chicagoan with a career as a teacher, editor, and published poet. His most recent 2022 book is Human Cicada, and other titles are Armadillo Charm, 14 Abrilies Poems, Coyote Sun. Cumpian has been included in over 30 key anthologies and performed his work across the USA for the past 45 years. He is the co-founder of MARCH ABRAZO, the first Illinois small press dedicated to publishing poetry books on Midwestern Chicanos, Latinos and enrolled American Indians.
