Start your swing dance journey with a solid foundation in the classic Lindy Hop. This beginner-friendly course introduces the essential techniques, rhythms, and connection skills that every dancer builds on. Students will learn both 6-count and 8-count footwork, core patterns such as tuck turns, side passes, and basic side-by-side Charleston, and will work their way toward understanding and dancing swingouts, the signature move of Lindy Hop.
You will also learn a routine called the Shim Sham, which is a very common line dance performed at social dances/events.
Throughout the series, you’ll develop comfortable partnering skills, timing, and flow—everything you need to feel confident on the social dance floor and ready for the next level.
6-Week series
Thursdays 7:10pm-8:30pm
No partner or prior experience required!
