lilo brings the deep friendship of Christie Gardner and Helen Dixon to life through music that celebrates connection and hope. Having met at age eleven in Winchester, this London-based duo has spent years crafting a sound that draws comparisons to Laura Marling and First Aid Kit while forging their own path.
Their debut EP 'Sleep Country' (Practise Music) showcases their evolution from sparse acoustic arrangements to atmospheric, harmony-rich compositions. From the boundary-pushing opener "Change" to the protective anthem "Scarecrow," they create songs that ask us all to be kinder to each other.
