Join us for the first major Lightspeed competition of the year. This is an open competition with advanced qualifying events, so a rank of C or higher (plus a current paid membership) is required for some categories. All other categories are open to their requisite demographics. All events are open gender unless otherwise specified.APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE (subject to change)
SATURDAY
10am Younglings (ages 8-10) & Cadets (ages 11-13)
1pm Women's Rey Saber
4pm Team Skirmish
SUNDAY
11am Advanced Rey Saber (rank C and up)
2pm Mixed Weapons
5pm Ren Saber
Lightspeed Saber is an open competition system, meaning that anyone of any martial or sport background can enter provided you are capable of fencing with control and respect for your opponent. Excessive force will be penalized.
REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Fencing mask or equivalent
Lacrosse or hockey gloves of sufficient quality (will be inspected)
Elbow guards
Shin guards
Lightspeed blade
