Andrew Trost is a New York based cinematographer whose work begins and ends with story. For him, the camera is not a technical instrument but an emotional one; a means of closing the distance between a filmmaker's vision and their audience.

Over more than a decade, Andrew has built a body of work defined by intimate collaboration and a commitment to images that matter. In 2024, he was named the recipient of the by the International Cinematographers Guild. In 2025, F*ckUps Anonymous won the at SXSW in the Independent Pilots Competition, and he was invited to participate in the ASC Vision Program; an ongoing mentorship by the . Films lensed by Andrew have earned Best Cinematography awards at festivals across the globe and have screened in over 40 countries.

A proud member of ICG Local 600, Andrew has worked alongside industry-leading directors and crews on productions for A24, HBO, and Netflix. He approaches every project with artistry, empathy, and a commitment to technical excellence in service of stories that have the power to change the world.
