The Light Party is a Free, Fun, Family-Friendly Community Event held at the Blue Water Quay on the 31st of October 4-9pm as an alternate to Halloween.
Dress up as your favourite light-themed, positive character & complete lots of awesome activities with the kids!! The activities are based around christian heroes of the faith who had significant events happen on the 31st Oct. You will learn about figures like William Wilberforce, who was sworn into parliament on the 31st Oct and went on to have slavery abolished in 1833, The Australian Light Horsemen, who charged Beersheba in WW1 on the 31st Oct and changed the tides on the war, Martin Luther, who on the 31st Oct posted his 95 problems with the church on the public notice-board of the day which led to the church completely changing and George Muller who came to faith on the 31st Oct and went cared for 10,000 orphans over his lifetime. You will learn about these figures while fortress building, cookie decorating, horse racing, printing, light critter creating, fishing and more!! There will be food trucks, live entertainment and 2 x 30min extreme BMX performances by JC Action Sport at 5:30pm and 7:30pm. They will share their story of hope and how you can find it. Join us for a whole bunch of fun and celebration!
