Please join us for the Reception and Artists' talk Saturday, February 8th 2-5pm. The Artists' will give a gallery talk at 3pm.
In a time of increasing disenchantment, art can spark awe and wonder, reignite curiosity, and illuminate new perspectives. A ray of light can also be found in the contemplative awareness of impermanence and the finitude of our time on earth. Acknowledging that such intangible sensations are universal can bring to light what we all have in common as human beings, how we are all interconnected. Ann Resnick and Sarah Sanford capture the ethereal and transient properties of light through the use of materials such as reactive inks, powdered and sprayed pigments and translucent surface materials, pushing past the two-dimensional surface and inviting the viewer to engage with visual ambiguity. Their works are abstracted visual reminders of life’s
uncertainties. They are mysteries to unravel, inviting rumination and reflection on our complex existence.
