Light & Shadow: Beginner Oil Painting Class in Dallas

Sunday, November 15th, 1:30-4pm

Capture the quiet beauty of light and shadow in this soft, atmospheric oil painting class. Inspired by glowing windows at sunset, you'll create a single painting featuring silhouetted plants.

In this workshop, we'll focus on building luminous, layered color using a sunset-inspired pastel palette and blending oils to achieve soft, glowing light transitions.

Students will be guided step-by-step through the oil painting process, including color mixing, brushwork, creating movement, and layering paint to achieve rich colors and buttery blends. Expect 1 on 1 guidance and help throughout the class, and a relaxing afternoon of creativity.

All supplies are included for use in class, and no prior experience is necessary! BYOB welcome!

Your painting will still be wet when you leave, so prepare a space in your car to lay it flat, or bring a brown paper grocery bag to carry it home.

Location: Trade Oak Cliff, inside Tyler Station in Dallas. Enter 4 doors down from Oak Cliff Brewery.

Recommended for ages 14 and up. Minors must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket.
