Light & Fresh January Seafood Supper Club

The first Supper Club of 2025 at Moregeous HQ will be a celebration of British seafood after the excesses of Christmas cheese and carbs. Fresh produce from the seas around our coastline, warmed by full flavoured accompaniments but on the stodge free side, assisting January's off-loading of the December excesses.

Have you ever shucked an oyster? One each to try with your canape if you're brave enough.

WELCOME DRINK : Ginger Warmer Shot - beat the January blues with ginger, turmeric, honey and ACV

CANAPE : British Crab Cup : Crab, ginger, spring onion, yuzu, lettuce, radish

Shellfish

STARTER : Lime & Chilli Mackerel Cheesecake : Cream cheese, mackerel, cucumber, shallot, Thai seasoning. Smashed cracker base (gluten free) with rocket and spinach,

Milk

MAIN : White fish steak (hake or halibut dependant on availability at fishmongers on Friday 19th). Lemongrass, coconut, coriander, kaffir lime leaves (grown in Fallowfield!).

Chilli crunchy salad : Beansprouts, carrot, baby corn, yellow pepper with sweet chilli & mirin dressing

Pak choi, garlic and oyster sauce

PUDDING : Lemon posset, mojito sorbet
egg, milk, alcohol

As usual it's BYO wine, beer or fizz, or soft drinks of course, with no corkage charged.

Glasses, water and ice provided.

Guests to arrive at 7pm

For guests who haven't dined with us before, the venue is just off Wilmslow Road in between Withington and Fallowfield, in a private home and lush garden setting. There is lots of free on-road parking or we're two mins walk from the bus route into Manchester. Taxis easily available at the evening.
