LIFT Creek Challenge: Fort O Float!

LIFT Youth Center is excited to invite our community to attend the second event in our paddle series, the LIFT Creek Challenge: Fort O Float!
Join us for a fun morning paddling or floating along the West Chickamauga Creek in Fort Oglethorpe! The event will begin with check-in at the Cloud Springs Launch, and participants will be transported to the put-in behind O’Charley’s on Battlefield Parkway.
As boaters come off the creek by the check-in spots at the Cloud Springs Launch. Once participants are back, we’ll feed everyone a free lunch of grilled hotdogs/chips/dessert/drink!
This is a FREE community event, and we hope to see lots of individuals and families come out to enjoy the creek together!

***This year the first 100 folks to check in will get a LIFT Creek Challenge t-shirt! Sizes are available on a first come, first serve basis!***
SCHEDULE:
8:30am - Check-In Begins (this waiver is required of all participants)
9:00am - All participants are transported to our Put-In behind O'Charley's
9:30am - The Fort O Float Begins!
12:00ish - Participants start to finish & Lunch is served
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING:
- Please wear closed-toed shoes or water shoes IN THE CREEK
- Everyone must wear a PFD (personal flotation device)
- If you need any emergency meds (inhales, EpiPens for allergic reactions, etc.) please have them on your person in a waterproof container.
- Towel, sunscreen, hat, etc are recommended
- Boat (canoe, kayak, paddle board, etc.) and a Paddle
WHERE TO MEET:
Cloud Springs Launch @ 82 Dietz Road
You will leave your vehicle parked there.
You will check in at the LIFT Tent.
Then you can get your gear loaded onto one of the trailers.
We'll load up the bus and get you to the put-in and on the water.
