Lifeline Canberra is excited to announce that we are the charity partner for the Raiders v. Knights round-18 NRL game on the 7th of July 2024 at GIO Stadium Canberra. This unique opportunity allows us to promote our services and give a great, big, public shout-out to our incredible volunteers for the work they do on the 13 11 14 crisis support telephone line.
We’re on the lookout for 250 people who are keen to see the game and assist Lifeline Canberra on the ground before and during the game.
Volunteers who help out at the game will receive these perks:
💚 Tickets to the 7 July 2024 round-18 game (family and children welcome)
💚 Participation in the half-time activation run by Lifeline Canberra
💚 Lifeline Canberra merch
💚 The chance to win a game-day experience at the match

Lifeline by the Sideline Volunteer Roles
We have three volunteer opportunities available for game day.
1. Forecourt Activation
Located in the Raiders Fan Zone the Forecourt is where the Raiders have all community engagement for all fans to wander around and see what’s on offer. These volunteers will engage with the community, represent Lifeline Canberra, share information, and hand out merchandise.
Shift from 11:15am to 4pm (kick-off) with breaks
2. 50-50 Raffle Ticket Sales
Volunteers will be selling raffle tickets to the public. 50% of the funds raised will go directly to Lifeline Canberra, the other half will go to the raffle winner. This role requires volunteers over the age of 18 who are comfortable using technology and approaching members of the public.
Shift from 11:15am to 5pm (raffle draw) with breaks
3. Half-time on-field Activation
At half-time, we will be unfurling a giant Lifeline Canberra flag on the field and need as many hands as possible to take part in this fun opportunity during the break in the game. Any and all volunteers there on the day are encouraged to take part in what is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
