This class takes place at the Sculpture Lounge Studios- home to a growing number of professional artists. Classes are led by Jamie Frost, a figurative art specialist with a particular passion for drawing:
Drawing is a very personal thing so it’s important to me that the atmosphere of my classes is welcoming and accepting. Small groups of people help each other to understand what they are doing, regardless of experience, whilst I provide a structure, tuition, and advice which can move things forward.
My sessions take into account the complete beginner but we also have plenty of more experienced artists involved.
In order to attend you just have to bring yourself and some enthusiasm. I provide drawing media and good quality cartridge papers. The studio is equipped with easels, drawing boards and all the equipment you should need
The course structure includes regular lessons in formal drawing. Line, tone, perspective, mark-making, blending, foreshortening, portraiture and many other subjects are discussed. You will be introduced to the work of other artists and encouraged to experiment and express yourself.
Classes run in ‘terms’ of varying length- please check the schedule carefully before booking. There's an opportunity to catch up on missed sessions in any of my other weekly classes.
Refreshments are also included.
