About the Author:
Shirley Le is a Vietnamese-Australian writer from Yagoona and a member of the Sweatshop Writers Collective, a Western Sydney Literacy Movement.
Her writing has appeared in The Age, Overland, Meanjin and several Sweatshop anthologies. Her first novel Funny Ethnics was published by Affirm Press in 2023.
About the Moderator:
Michael Mohammed Ahmad is the founding director of Sweatshop Literacy Movement and the author of three award-winning novels: The Tribe, The Lebs and The Other Half of You.He is also the editor of several critically acclaimed anthologies, including After Australia.
Mohammed received his Doctorate of Creative Arts from Western Sydney University in 2017.
