Liberty on the Rocks is a non-profit libertarian organization designed to educate, connect, and activate liberty enthusiasts around the world. Through local chapters and events, LOTR is a meeting place for voluntarists, classical liberals, libertarians, civil libertarians, free marketers, and those curious or new to the ideas of liberty.

This is a social gathering, not a political one. It is a place to discuss the ideas of liberty and strategies to achieve as much freedom as possible.

We normally meet the 3rd Monday of each month between 6:00PM and 9:00PM, however this month will be on the 3rd Tuesday. Food & Drink may be purchased directly from Triumph Brewing.
Tonight's Program features watching and discussing an Oxford Style Debate hosted by the SoHo Forum (livestreamed by Reason Magazine). The Debate Resolution: "The failure of Oregon's experiment in decriminalizing all drugs is compelling evidence that other attempts at complete decriminalization will fail just as badly."

For the affirmative: Kevin Sabet, assistant adjunct professor at Yale University, director of the Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida, co-founder and president of Smart Approaches to Marijuana (SAM), and former adviser to the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy.

For the negative: Zach Weissmueller, senior producer at Reason and co-host of Just Asking Questions, a weekly podcast from Reason.
