As we enter the holy month of Muharram, we remember the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet, and analyse how the events of Karbala can be used as a paradigm for an Islamic theology of liberation.

To prepare for the session, please read the following short text.

The session is open to anyone that is interested in Liberation Theology, Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Please note, however, that it is not a space for anti-religion discourse.
