Liar, Liar Pants on Fire

This show is a multi-genre exploration of my experiences growing up Queer in the Southern Baptist Black churches. Black is an important distinction here. I can’t speak for other experiences, but Black church was something that existed outside the confines of the church house. It was a community, it was your extended family, it was home.

With this piece, I sought to answer the question of “What happens when the place you called home no longer feels safe?”
