As you may be aware, today marks Men’s Mental Health Monday. Our objective is to provide support to young men and grown men in need and encourage them to participate in these sessions. The ultimate goal is to bridge the existing gap as soon as possible, thereby enhancing the quality of life in Bibb County and making LHW Rec a welcoming space for everyone.
Today’s topic will be “Have you faced any obstacles in the last two weeks and if so how did manage your anger?” We will teach mechanics and learn different ways of dealing with them.
This month is exceptionally busy for us, as we strive to foster a sense of community. We have a plethora of events scheduled, and we cordially invite you to join us. Please refer to the flyers for specific dates and times. We eagerly anticipate your presence.
Our event schedule is as follows:
Monday - Men’s Mental Health 6-7:30 (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Monday of each month)
Tuesday - Tie Tuesday and Community Chess 4:30-6:00 (limited spots, 15 max) Bingo for Books 6:30-7:30 (last Tuesday of the month)
Wednesday - Women’s Mental Health 6-7:00 (1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month)
Thursday - Puzzle Club (2nd and 4th Thursday of each month)
Additionally, we will be hosting Family and Friends Day on November 22nd from 11-1:00. We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate the community.
On November 25th, we will be hosting our Annual “Thanksgiving In The Neighborhood”event. All events are open to the public and free of charge. You are welcome to attend, regardless of your place of residence.
