It's been a rough... well, we'll just leave it at "rough". You deserve to be able to defend yourself when times get rough. Especially now for our LGBTQIA+ community. We love to learn, so this is the perfect opportunity to swap knowledge!
Here's the breakdown:
This self defense seminar will be taught by our chief instructor, Sensei Ryan Sickles, who has 20+ years of experience in various martial arts forms. He will demonstrate simple and general, but effective, self defense techniques. We'll take a few minutes for participants to practice the techniques on each other while Sensei goes around to adjust, correct, and refine your skills. Then, we'll open the floor to a Q&A style application of how to use the techniques in real life situations. We love making Sensei think on his feet!
All techniques and strategies will be tailored to and benefit all pronouns. Speaking of all pronouns, did we mention there will be socializing and refreshments? Nothing crazy, just some coffee/tea/bagels/donuts... Things of that nature. The last half hour will be reserved for hanging out with each other because, like we said, we love to learn.
