About this Event
Hosted by Edinburgh Old Development Trust (Crannie Community Hub) in partnership with LGBT Health and Wellbeing and LGBT Youth Scotland, you are warmly welcomed to a screening of the 2022 film, Blue Jean, written and directed by Georgia Oakley. In 1988, a closeted teacher is pushed to the brink when a new student threatens to expose her sexuality.
Enjoy the film in an LGBTQ+ safer setting to mark this year's LGBT History Month with the opportunity for some discussion and reflections afterwards. This event is part of Local Cinema, supported by the City of Edinburgh Council, Film Hub Scotland and Edinburgh Film Guild.
We will provide some light snacks and warm refreshments. This is a no-alcohol event. To reflect the film rating and our work with LGBT Youth Scotland, this event will be for LGBTQ+ people aged 15+.
- Film runtime: 1h 37m, screening starts 4.15pm (event runs 4-7pm)
- HoH Subtitles in English provided
- CW: homophobia, bullying, discrimination
