Great Journey West
In 1803, President Thomas Jefferson dispatched Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the uncharted territory of the west. He expected they would encounter woolly mammoths, erupting volcanoes, and a northwest passage to the sea. What they found was no less mind-boggling. Joseph Blanco leads this interactive and multimedia program re-creating the expedition with stories from his tour guide experiences at the Lewis and Clark National Historical Park in Washington and Oregon and his teaching at the university level.
