Screening under the stars at Darwin’s iconic Deckchair Cinema, acclaimed Indonesian director/writer Wregas Bhanuteja – the first Indonesian director to win an award at Cannes Film Festival for his short film Prenjak – will join us in Darwin to present his film and officially open the festival.
Set in a community where ancient trance rituals unite people against the pressures of modern change, Levitating is a visually stunning parable on the woes of gentrification and capitalism...with a touch of romance, comedy and body horror!
