Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Blended Learning

The qualification is nationally recognised and valid for 3 years.

This qualification is done in two parts. First part is 6 hours online. secon part is 6 hours in the classroom doing the practical elements.

The Online part must be done before attending the classroom day.

The practical day includes the following:

Scene survey.

Top to Toe survey

Recovery position for a child/infant

CPR for child/infant

Dealing with a choking child/infant

Wounbds/bleeding and shock

Fractures

Head and spinal injuries

Managing Anaphylaxis.

The assessment process is being able to demonstrate the practical elements, including CPR with a manikin on the floor for 2 minutes.

There is also a written assessment paper at the end of the day.

Refreshments will be provided, however delegates must provide their own lunch.
