Level 3 Emergency First Aid At Work

This regulated qualification provides the essential practical skills needed to respond to workplace emergencies.
About this Event

This one day course is suitable for all those that work in a public facing role or in jobs that has the potential to be hazardous. This course will cover:

• First aider responsibilities
  Consent, infection control and your role at an incident.
• Assessing an incident
  Scene survey, primary survey and calling for assistance.
• Unresponsive casualties
  CPR, recovery position and first aid for seizures.
  Choking.
• Recognising mild or severe choking and providing first aid.
  External bleeding
  Assessing severity and demonstrating effective control.
  Shock
• Recognising the signs and providing appropriate first aid.
  Minor injuries
  Cuts, grazes, bruises, splinters, burns and scalds.
