Level 3 Blended Paediatric First Aid Course (VTQ)
About this Event
This level 3 Blended learning course meets the full criteria for a 12 hour qualification.
Attendees must do the 6 hour online part before attending the classroom practical session.
The online part does not have to be done in one go, it can be done in sessions that suit you.
On the practical day, all attendees will be shown, and then must show that they can carry out the following techniques:
A scene survey on a child/infant
CPR on a child and an infant
How to use a defib.
How to deal with a choking child/infant
How to put a child/infant into a recovery position.
How to deal with wounds/bleeding and shock
How to deal with fractures.
How to deal with head and spinal injuries
How to deal with Anaphylaxis.
All atendees will be assessed on the practical elements, and will also do a Multiplechoice Question paper at the end of the day.
The qualification is suitable for all those that work with/care for young people up to the age of 18.
The certificate is valid for 3 years.
On succesful completion all attendees will recieve an E certificate issued by thye awarding body.
There is free parking onsite.
Tea/coffee and buscuits will be provided on ther day. attendees will have to provide their own lunch.
