LET’S GET DEEP: THE FUTURE OF THE WINE INDUSTRY
August 11, 6:00-8:00 pm
The Future Collective at Scribe Winery
This event launches The Future Collective's new conversation series on the future of Sonoma Valley's economy. We begin with the future of our local wine industry as imagined by a panel of a new generation of people already shaping it.
Panelists include
- Andrew Mariani, Scribe Winery
- Martha Stoumen, Martha Stoumen Wines
- Rodrigo Soto, Far Mountain Wine
- John Hamel, Hamel Family Wines
The discussion will be moderated by Alison Seibert of The James Collective.
A wine industry elder, Joel Peterson, Ravenswood Winery and Once & Future Wines, will begin the conversation with the vision held 30 years ago that has shaped Sonoma Valley's modern economy. From there, this new generation of winemakers will share what investments and values they believe will define the future of our local wine and agricultural industry. We'll conclude by inviting the audience to share perspectives on the opportunities and ideas that may be missing from the conversation.
Scribe Winery will host The Future Collective for this community gathering on The Knoll, providing seasonal garden snacks prepared by their kitchen and sourced from the SCRIBE garden.
Tickets are available on a sliding scale ($0-$60), with food and a glass of wine included and bottles available for purchase.
We hope this conversation series will help you understand the values of a new generation that might become the foundation of a regenerative and diversified economic future for Sonoma Valley.
