Let’s celebrate Danielle making it 10 years! 10 years since she was initially diagnosed with cancer. It’s been a journey that’s for sure, but she keep surpassing the odds.
Here is a little back story on Danielle:
On November 17, 2015 Danielle went in to her OB with an indent that just wasn’t leaving her breast. He examined her throughly & immediately told her to go to the hospital for a mammogram. The mammogram turned into a biopsy immediately after. Danielle was scared shitless but once everything was done she saw the scan. She knew it didn’t look right. They had her meet with a surgeon right there. They made a plan. But after getting things in line with the surgeon & then the oncologist they referred her to a plan was made. But she was still having her lower back pain that never got addressed properly. After a CT scan she found out on December 31, 2015 & then being prepped for her 9 hour surgery on January 5, 2016 she wasn’t Stage 3B, she was Stage 4. Chemotherapy started the following day on January 6, 2016. It’s been a rocky road since then. She’s been through 9 different lines of treatment since then, 3 port placement, surgery’s to prevent the cancer going to certain places, the cancer going in several places of her body, many radiation sessions & team changes. In April of 2024 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor that she knew she had to tackle head first because that’s just how Danielle does things. So within days she got her affairs updated as she had brain surgery & radiation. And then this past April it decided to venture to her bone in her foot, where there was an incident that ultimately broke her foot & she had another surgery. Regardless of what has come her way, she has dealt with this all with positivity & strength. She is an advocate for so many other patients in the community & other states.
So let’s come out & celebrate Danielle has she continues to thrive & live life to the fullest for her family & friends, but most importantly her kids.
We will be planning on dinner with close family & friends. Then venturing to BBs on Main Street. More information will come in the next few weeks.
