We are raising money for the charity Stand Against Racism & Inequality (SARI). SARI provides free and confidential support for anyone who is a victim of hate crime across Avon and Somerset. Whether that’s based on race, faith, disability, sexual orientation, transgender identity, age, or sex. They also work to build greater understanding and respect for diversity and difference within our community.£5 entry on the door.
Artists (A to Z):
🕊️ Duke Red I – Taunton based reggae musician, producer, dub operator and selector that loves to strip things down and dub it up!
🕊️ Glastonbury Soul Club – taking a break from their signature Northern Soul and 60s R&B sounds, brothers Paul and Pete will instead be dusting off the reggae and ska in their record collections for the night, along with some of their Latin favourites.
🕊️ Lath – a legend for his long running and popular ‘Soul Shack’ night at the Sheppey in Godney and energetic peformances on the ones and twos, Lath will be bringing 70s roots and dub.
🕊️ Lone Selecta – veteran selector from Zaragoza and former member of Somma Sound. Expect classic roots riddims, dancehall and conscious reggae anthems.
🕊️ Ras Umi - Master of ceremonies for the evening, David 'Ras Umi' Hutton has been a hidden gem in the world of reggae since the 80s, performing alongside legendary artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Burning Spear, Eek-A-Mouse and the Mighty Diamonds.
🕊️ Rends – Glastonbury born and bred vinyl collector and selector on a mission to keep vintage Caribbean sounds alive in the dance. A resident of Tansha Soundsystem, Rends’s repetoire covers the entire spectrum, from Ska, Rocksteady and Mento to consious Ragga and Dancehall. Bring your skanking shoes.
🕊️ Tanti - the founder of Tansha Soundsystem is Taunton born and bred, with a passion for reggae, ska, dub, latin, afro and other world music styles. His unique fusion has resonated with audiences at Boomtown Fair, Glastonbury Festival and Croatia's Goulash Disko to name a few. Prepare for infectious, energy-driven ragga infused beats and basslines, dubbed out in killer style.
