About this Event

Join Abolitionist Mail Project at Brookline Booksmith for a community card-writing event to write letters to incarcerated people in Massachusetts.

Register for the event!
There will be three arrival times at this write-in: 5:30PM, 6PM and 7PM. Please sign up for the time when you'd like to arrive so that we can prepare appropriately, but stay as long as you like! Cards, stamps and writing utensils will be provided.

If possible, this event will include a phone call with one of AMP's incarcerated members.

Note that there are strict rules about what styles of cards are allowed into prisons, so if you plan to bring your own materials, check in with Project members before you start writing.

RSVP to let us know which time you plan to arrive!

Event accessibility
  • This event will take place at street level.
  • Card writing will take place at tables and folding chairs will be provided.

About Abolitionist Mail Project

Abolitionist Mail Project is a pen-pal group that connects people incarcerated in Massachusetts and people on the outside. We believe that all incarceration is wrong. Until everyone is free, we must form genuine friendships between incarcerated and non-incarcerated people. These relationships will help break down walls and build a new world.
