This is a 4 mile circular walk starting on the canal towpath behind Sainsburys in Brighouse. The walk will last 2-2.5 hours and there are a few steps. To find the starting point google maps 'Calder Navigation Society - Brighouse Boat Trips'

• Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for the weather

The route will be from the canal towpath at the back of Sainsbury's, following the canal towpath to Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve. After a stop for a cuppa, we'' followthe river path through the nature reserve, rejoining the towpath at Cromwell Lock. From there we return to Brighouse.

The route is mainly flat on well-made paths. The only exceptions are Ganny Bridge and a few steps between the river path and Cromwell lock.

Please book one time slot per person. Please arrive no more than 15 minutes before your booked slot. These sessions are designed for adults and for children from seven years old upwards as an introduction to walking and are easy grade along our amazing towpaths. Learn a bit of history or see some awesome wildlife which is around every turn on our waterways .

Parents and Guardians are required to accompany their children on this walk.

Walk ins will not be accepted. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your ticket via Eventbrite or please get in touch with us to allow another person(s) a chance to take part. Social distancing measures will be in place and all equipment will be cleaned in between sessions.
